BGH: Walton Conservatory completed

Walton Conservatory.jpg

The Walton Conservatory Range at Walton Hall, Warrington was a finalist in 3 categories of the LABC North West Building Excellence Awards 2020.

  • Best Change of Use of an Existing Building

  • Best Public Service or Educational Building

  • Best Small Commercial Project

Whilst disappointing not to have a win, the scheme provides a stunning reflection of what can be achieved through restoration and re-use. The restored glasshouse and attendant bothy structures provide a unique facility that provides opportunity for community groups, commercial enterprises and educational establishments to benefit from a truly exceptional building. Well done to all the team.

The building is free to view and sits within the setting of the historic Walton Hall & Gardens, Warrington.

Bradshaw Gass & Hope LLP provided architectural design and principal designer services.
