The project required the progressive refurbishment of the Central Natwest Bank facilities at 24 Deansgate, Bolton, involving four work stages. The building is Edwardian in origin and has a Grade II listed interior.
The whole of the work had to be undertaken whilst the Bank was maintained in daily operation. The first work stage involved the erection of protective scaffolding throughout the main banking hall and restoration and redecoration of the main banking hall ceilings, including the central cupola. The remaining work-stages involved the refurbishment and upgrading of Customer Services, administration facilities and security systems.
