Situated on the WYFRS Headquarters site at Birkenshaw this development provides essential training facilities for the fire service. The 3 Storey building offers both classroom and office type accommodation along with real life training areas for the Technical and Line Rescue Teams.

The main ‘practical’ training area is located in the double height space within the building and includes a realistic sewer simulation facility, gantries and training beams from which rescue tasks can be safely performed in a safe and controlled environment. Other interesting features include a Heat Acclimatisation Area and additional external gantries for Line Rescue training. Further accommodation includes a fully equipped gymnasium and associated changing facilities.
