New Opening at Manchester City FC
Manchester City Football Club has now been occupying their new State-of-the-Art executive office building since July 2009. The facility delivered on its promise of providing exceptional office accommodation and welfare facilities for the Club’s Executive management and support staff.
It was critical for the Club that the building was available for occupancy prior to the start of the 2009/10 football season and this was achieved within a design and build programme of 6 months. The projects success was made possible by exceptional team working and an open approach to delivery. It showcases the possibilities that exist when the focus of a project is ensuring the Client has the facility they require at the time they require it. The approach requires all team members to sign-up to ensuring this outcome and not focusing on their own gain.
The Contractor, City Build (Manchester) Ltd and their supply chain provided an inspiration to all on how cooperative working and an emphasis on Client benefit can deliver an exceptional facility.
We would draw particular attention to Cheshire Contracts, Trinity Ceilings, Barton & Holden and Murray Building Services Ltd who showed exceptional commitment to the project and helped to ensure a successful outcome.
The project also delivered on Manchester City Football Clubs commitment to supporting local business and encouraging local economic sustainability with its insistence on the use of local subcontractors and material suppliers and the requirement to source materials, where possible, that had been manufactured in the UK.
