Winning ways at Manchester City FC

Bradshaw Gass & Hope LLP, in partnership with City Build Manchester Ltd have recently been successful in securing the contract to design and construct a prestigious new office development for Manchester City Football Club.

The partnership between BG&H LLP and City Build developed following a number of successfully completed traditionally tendered construction projects. The partnership with City Build Manchester Ltd was based upon a mutual respect for each companies drive towards quality, clarity, excellence in design and construction and above all the provision of a service to our Clients that goes beyond fiscal concerns. Both firms felt that their understanding and similar approaches to provision of an exceptional service and quality product to the Client would facilitate a mutually beneficial partnership for both companies.

The partnership team of David Hamer, Partner at BG&H LLP and Toby Rexstraw, Managing Quantity Surveyor at City Build worked hard to prepare a tender bid that answered the Client brief and beyond. Great emphasis was placed on providing a bid that not only included an attractive financial outcome but also explored possibilities outside the Client brief that could possibly provide added value to the Clients requirements.

The Clients brief requirements were particularly exacting. In particular the timescales available were extremely restricted and the specification requirements for the new building were very high.

The site is a prominent gateway into the Sports City complex and the Clubs stadium and required a design that recognised this importance.
